![]() But Tokyo Xtreme Racer (the original and its sequel) dared to be different. That’s not to imply that they’re bad - some are excellent - but a racing game is a racing game, right? Race on race tracks, first to cross the checkered flag wins. The Sega Dreamcast had no shortage of racing games, and most of them are pretty standard. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 is beautiful and peaceful and meditative and relaxing. ![]() As the asphalt slips by at 150 miles per hour and the city lights glimmer on the horizon, as we rip across Tokyo Bay Bridge illuminated only by sparse streetlamps and the brilliant headlights of other midnight travelers, as we speed through a city of never-ending energy amidst perpetual midnight, we find calm. There’s something mesmerizing about Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2. Publisher - Genki (Japan) Ubi Soft (Europe) Crave Entertainment (North America)ĭreamcast Release Dates - J(Japan) Septem(North America) Decem(Europe)Īdditional Releases - Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Zero (Sony Playstation 2) My first playthrough i found it very hard to progress because i kept wasting money tuning a very weak car to progress a little at a time, in the end i gave up and started again, it wasnt untill my 3rd playthrough with the gamefaqs car guide i was able to get anywhereĪs for the engine settings etc: i personally have acc.Alternate Titles - Shutokō Battle 2 (Japan) Tokyo Highway Challenge 2 (Europe) Momo, the graphics are great i think, especially lighting, im sure you are talking about tokyo highway challenge 2 but there is more than one car, and its a little more exciting than the m25 at first its pretty slow and your progression in the game really depends on what car you choose and what you do to them, when tuning or modding you should always try to buy the most expensive parts, (yes even aero parts as the more expensive they are the better control it will give, i have added a few ugly parts lately but noticd a great differance in handling) the honda civic si seems best to start with, it has the highest bhp from any c class standard car and will win you lots of money and progress you far (thats without tuning/modding) id then go for the class a mitsubishi lancer evolution 4 gsr as it gives 280bhp (highest class a standard) you can pour money into modding it and this car will take you right to the end, ofcourse along the way you will build up a heap load of cash to spend on your unlocked cars and anything that takes your fancy. ![]() Joined: July 2003 Location: Southampton, UK On gamefaqs they also have how to unlock that part of the track but i had beaten the two people they tell you to and its still locked :'(Īny info would be great, or you can just talk about the game coz its greatĭoes anybody have any of these things or know how i canget them? I really want any one of these cars and the wangan route but i seem to have hit a dry patch with very few cars around for me to challenge any more :'( Nor have i unlocked the bmx m3, porche 911turbo or the dodge viper gts This is the furthest i have ever gotten on this game but i still havnt unlocked the left hand side of the highway (i believe the wangan side) its soo frustrating iv never been down taht part and it looks great for drag races Iv bought near enough every part for the m lancer evo 4 gsr (except im still on engine 5 not 6) anyway Iv started playing the game again, i got the car list from gamefaqs with thier real names and bhp which has helped alot, i went from 40 something wins with my honda civic si onto 120 wins 9 loses and 3 draws (in total) with my Mitsubishi lancer evolution IV GSR
